Defense keeps Wildcats on the field
What an odd sequence of events. On third down and nine from its own 11-yard line Northwestern executed a beautiful screen for 43-yards, but senior safety William Moore stripped the ball and forced a fumble. The Tigers recovered in a quick swing a of momentum, but the play was nullified by an offsides penalty.
The Wildcats converted the third-down for the second time and Missouri also jumped offsides on consecutive plays.
Missouri is actually making it easy for the Northwestern offense. The Tigers appear to have three different defensive plays: jump offsides, miss tackles or bring no pressure on the quarterback.
At this point, it's going to take an awful lot to turn things around for Missouri.
