Northwestern retakes the lead
Missouri's defense looked impressive again as Ziggy Hood stepped up this time and recorded a sack on third down. Northwestern was forced to punt.
However, Chase Daniel managed to give it away again. This time he threw the ball directly to safety Brad Phillips, setting up Northwestern on Missouri's 21 yard line.
Northwestern didn't let this opportunity slip away. On third down Ross Lane made an incredible diving catch in the back of the endzone. It was a 23-yard pass that just drifted over the hands of Missouri's secondary.
Northwestern now leads 23-20.
