Secondary gets burned deep

After slowly driving the ball down the field on the opening drive of the second half, Northwestern took its first deep shot. Bacher connected with Rasheed Ward for a 46-yard touchdown pass down the sideline.

Northwestern kicker Amado Villarreal missed the extra point, however, banging it against the right pole.
