In its latest iteration, “FIFA 11” has raised the bar again. With a more realistic feel to the game, “FIFA 11” makes the experience as real as actually being on the pitch.

The first thing that fans will notice is how realistic the players are in terms of their statistics. If a player has a low number in the acceleration area, they will run slower in the game. This seems more noticeable in “FIFA 11” as compared to “FIFA 10.”

Ball control has also been updated. Whether it is the actual person controlling the player or the AI controlling the player, you can really see how easy it is to control the ball, but don’t expect to easily weave around opponents. The AI is skilled and will try to evade you with numerous skill moves and even the goalkeeper has become more aggressive. This is refreshing because it forces the player to step up his or her game.

This year, the goalkeeper is a playable character, whereas in the past, the computer controlled the goalkeeper. It’s easy to control and there are helpful indicators that determine where the opponent might shoot.

This game has a lot to offer, but there are downsides. Passing has become more difficult because how long the pass button is pressed determines the strength of the pass. Also, the direction of the pass is sloppy at times. Aside from that, the only problems encountered were some graphics issues.

“FIFA 11” has brought the feeling of playing soccer to a whole new level. The added realism of each player and the graphics make each game feel as if the player were there. Those who want to experience the beautiful game at its best without leaving their rooms should look no further than “FIFA 11.”
