Texas' Dexter Pittman missed the second end of his two free throws, and a Kansas State rebound and timeout gives the Wildcats the ball down three points with 8.2 seconds to play. Directly following Kansas State's timeout, Texas coach Rick Barnes called a timeout to talk to his players.

Texas may likely foul, sending Kansas State to the line for two shots and not giving the Wildcats a chance to launch a three for the tie.
