Baylor shooting hot early
Entering the season, Baylor was expected to utilize its collection of guards to run-and-gun with most teams in the country. The Bears never found a consistent shooting stroke during the regular season, but it has shown up early against Kansas.
LaceDarius Dunn and Curtis Jerrells have combined for three 3-pointers, as Kansas coach Bill Self recently called a timeout to quell Baylor momentum, as the Bears lead 11-5 with about 16 minutes to play in the first half.
After the timeout, Kansas came out and put up an airball. Baylor responded with a tough bucket inside by Mamadou Diene, who was fouled and will go to the line for one after a TV timeout.
