Tied at 68 following two Tony Crocker free throws for Oklahoma, Oklahoma State's Byron Eaton drove the lane appeared to be stripped of the ball.

The baseline official ruled it a reach-in on Oklahoma's Willie Warren. Eaton proceeded to hit the first of two free throws, the second of which was rebounded by Warren and taken across midcourt before a timeout was called.
