Missouri's known as a second half team. Texas Tech is finding out why. With the game tied at 35, Missouri has since gone an 11-0 run to make the score 46-35 in favor of the Tigers.
The run began with a strong move from senior forward Leo Lyons on the baseline, who finished the play with a two-handed dunk in front of a delirious Missouri band. Texas Tech's John Roberson carried on the next possession, leading to a another Lyons basket.
A tip-in by J.T. Tiller, a 3-pointer by Matt Lawrence and two Tiller free throws account for the other points.
The defense has been fueled by senior forward DeMarre Carroll. Carroll played a large role in forcing a Tech 10 second violation, and later went flying into press row after a loose ball.
