Kansas State got the shot it wanted.
Down three points with 8.2 seconds to play, Darren Kent flipped the ball to Denis Clemente, whose three-point attempt at the buzzer hit the rim and was rebounded by Texas. The miss allowed Texas to secure a 61-58 win and advance to tomorrow's semifinal in an I-35 showdown between No. 5 Texas and No. 9 Baylor.
