Tension is evident between Bedlam rivals

There's no love lost between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Things are getting intense here at the Ford Center already. Leading 4-2, Oklahoma sophomore sensation Blake Griffin cut to the hoop and went up for the lay-in, only to be wrapped up and pulled to the floor by Oklahoma State sophomore Marshall Moses. Moses was called for an intentional foul and Griffin converted on his two free throws, but OU failed to convert on the ensuing possession.

The atmosphere here right now is fantastic. Fans from both Oklahoma State and Oklahoma made the short trip to Oklahoma City, and the tension between the two fan bases is palpable. This is the third meeting of the year for the Bedlam rivals, and, tonight, each section is filled with a mixture of crimson and orange shirts. Unlike the last two games, where Kansas and Kansas State each had distinct "home court" advantages, this one appears to be pretty evenly split.

Oklahoma leads, 6-5, at a media timeout with 15:34 to play in the first half.
