Tigers lead 7-6 at first media timeout

Missouri came out with its two guns -- senior forwards DeMarre Carroll and Leo Lyons -- firing. The two scored quickly to give Missouri a 4-0 lead.

With 15:44 to play in the first half, those two baskets plus a Matt Lawrence 3-pointer account for Missouri's seven points. Missouri leads Texas Tech, 7-6.

It took Tech coach Pat Knight less than two minutes to get sophomore Mike Singletary into the game. Singletary became nationally relevant last night, scoring 43 points off the bench in Tech's comeback win over Texas A&M.

The Ford Center crowd has thinned out considerably. A large contingent of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State fans have gone home, leaving the Ford Center at about 50 to 60 percent capacity. Missouri sounds like it has won the crowd support battle, although the noise level pales in comparison to the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State game, understandably.
