Texas leads Baylor at halftime
After an A.J. Abrams 3-pointer put Texas up 37-25, Baylor went on an 8-0 run to cut the Texas lead to four.
With the run standing at 6-0, Texas guard Dogus Balbay had the ball stripped by Baylor guard Henry Dugat, who ran the length of the floor on the break before dishing the ball to Tweety Carter for the layup. After the bucket, Texas coach Rick Barnes immediately called a timeout.
Texas was able to end the run by holding for the last shot of the first half. After stalling at the top of the key for 20 seconds, Balbay drove the lane and passed to Texas center Clint Chapman, who finished the play with a two-handed dunk with four seconds left.
At halftime, Texas leads Baylor, 39-33.
