KCOU funding legislation submitted, Pt. II
Several senators today submitted another bill aimed at addressing KCOU/88.1 FM's need for a new transmitting tower. The bill is an updated version of the bill that failed last week (amended here), calling for MSA to front about $29,000 to pay for a new tower, with KCOU repaying about 2/3 of that money back to MSA over five years.
The sponsors of this bill include several senators who had signed on to the failed legislation last week, including author Josh Travis.
Like the bill calling for a KCOU student referendum, this legislation will go through committees this week and next before full Senate Wednesday, Oct. 29.
