RHA approves trayless Baja

No tags for this entry.

Residence Halls Association Congress passed a resolution asking Campus Dining Services to go trayless in at their Baja Grill location next semester. Four separate resolutions to go trayless were proposed at Congress. The resolutions asking for Plaza 900, Pavilion at Dobbs and Mark Twain Market to go trayless next semester were tabled.

The all-you-can-eat dining hall resolutions had referendums allowing for students to trayless and bring trays back if there is overwhelming student support for trays. The Baja resolution did not include this referendum, making trayless more permanent.

In a previous interview CDS Marketing Specialist Andrew Lough said they would move forward with trayless only if students support the motion, and an RHA resolution would show student support. CDS is willing to remove trays as early as next semester, but some dining halls such as Plaza 900 aren’t yet equipped for a trayless dish return system.
