Fessehaye confirms free coffee offer

Joe Fessehaye posted these messages on the Facebook event advertising free coffee.

"For those who are curious as to the confusion surrounding this particular situation here is a brief explanation:

This was arranged very recently between the manager of this location and myself with the condition that it was not heavily publicized as the intent was simply to provide a polling station location and a nice perk considering the cold weather. Additionally, no staff were informed in advance of today, which is why some employees have reacted accordingly.

This facebook event was created independent from that and was not arranged by Lindsey, myself, or any other campaign staff. We truly appreciate the excitement and support of so many of you out there, but in this rare circumstance it actually was too much support.

After sorting out exactly what took place, Starbucks' management has agreed to allow this to still happen this evening while supplies last."

"ATTENTION: THIS IS HAPPENING!

Starbucks will be offering a limited number of free coffees to individuals who vote at Starbucks on 9th Street from 4pm until the MSA Election coffee runs out.

So, first come, first vote, first served. You do NOT have to vote for any particular candidate. Starbucks is doing something very similar to what they did for the national election earlier this month and is simply showing their support for Mizzou students.

The polling station will be staffed by Joe & Lindsey campaign volunteers and you need to vote at the official laptop in order to get your hand stamped - which is required to be shown in order to get the free coffee. There are no refills on these special MSA Election coffees.

We apologize for any confusion that took place and hope that everyone is understanding. At the end of the day, we all just want people to take part in this election and try and stay warm!"
