Student Court uphold "Form 10" complaints
The Missouri Students Association Student Court ruled on a violation by the Phyllis Williams-Jonathan Snipes slate that had been reported bythe Jordan Paul-Colleen Hoffman slate questioning whether Williams had filed a Form 10 before posting campaign material in the Arts and Science building.
Mohn said the ruling was for a number of violations reported against the Williams-Snipes campaign in the past.
“This ruling was really regarding five complaints we rolled into one to present to the Student Court,” Mohn said.
Six of the nine student justices, including Chief Justice Jonathon Sandhu, voted Williams’ campaign had not filed the correct form on time, resulting in a “strike” against her campaign.
Although it’s the first strike against Williams’ slate, it’s not the first of the election; the Joe Fessehaye-Colleen Abell slate received one after turning in certain forms past their deadline. Three strikes against a campaign results in their disqualification from the race.
