Claxton to stay with committee
Despite an earlier announcement that she intended to resign as chairwoman of the Multicultural Issues Committee, Jennifer Claxton said today that she will remain in the position.
She had planned to resign because of scheduling issues, she said, but later found out that committee meetings can be scheduled at times other than the standard 7 p.m. Tuesday timeslot. Claxton had a conflict with this specific time, but another time during the week would work, she said.
She said she will talk to her committee members before deciding on another time for the committee's meetings.
