The Regional AIDS Interfaith Network, a non-profit organization that promotes education about AIDS and provides services to those affected by AIDS, is planning a number of events in Columbia tomorrow.

From about 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. there will be a public vigil held at the corner of Broadway and Ninth Street. At 6 p.m. a service of remembrance will be held and after there will be a dance party at the Blue Note, where Al Holiday and the Lucky Stars will play, along with ZAP.

World AIDS Day was established in 1988 to raise awareness about the HIV/AIDS epidemic across the world, according to the Web site for the Kaiser Family Foundation, a private foundation focusing on important health care issues in the U.S.
