CDS Director meets with RHA on trayless dining week
Steve Simpson, associate director of Campus Dining Services spoke at the Residence Halls Association to get a sense of how the first day of trayless dining went.
“I went to at least two locations, Eva Js and Plaza 900,” Simpson said. “I didn’t see too big of riots with bonfires or pitchforks. But I heard a few comments.”
Simpson was optimistic about trayless dining this week.
“So far, I think it’s going pretty well,” Simpson said.
At Mark Twain dining hall, some residents of McDavid residence hall were burned from hot plates that came out of the dishwasher and complained to RHA representative Allison Repking.
RHA representative Taylor Dukes said residents from Lathrop residence hall reported similar problems from soup bowls that became hot at Plaza 900.
“Today at Plaza, I got my gyro, and I know I ate less food beause I didn’t want to carry two plates, so I put my salad on the same plate,” Simpson said.
