Student dies after jump from Hitt Street Garage
A 20-year-old male jumped off Hitt Street Garage and died early Thursday, MU Police Department Capt. Brian Weimer said.
The student died at University Hospital after police responded to the north side of the garage at 3:46 a.m., Weimer said. The incident appears to be a suicide, Weimer said.
MUPD blocked off the garage after the student was taken to the hospital to question people leaving and prevent anyone from entering. The garage reopened before 6 a.m.
