JSO, Veritas go ice-skating
The Jewish Student Organization and Christian group Veritas went ice-skating in Jefferson City on Friday night.
The Jewish Student Organization and Muslim Student Organization originally planned the interfaith event together, but members of the Muslim Student Organization did not attend in the end, JSO Outreach Chairman and President-elect Daniel Brick said.
JSO and MSO went ice-skating at the Washington Park Ice Arena in January 2009. In past years, the two groups have broken fasts for Yom Kippur and Ramadan together.
Since Veritas was also ice-skating at the Washington Ice Park Arena on Friday, the two groups decided to hang out, though the event was not planned with them, Brick said.
Brick said one of his goals as the next JSO president is to actively organize events with other organizations.
