Greek Week winners
Greek Week ended with final announcements Sunday night on the steps of Jesse Hall. The 2009 Steering Committee announced this year's Greek Week raised $99,700 dollars for their beneficiaries, collected 16,500 cans of food and donated 3,438 units of blood.
During the Fling final performances on Saturday night, Charlie Hart of Alpha Kappa Order and Jean Horan of Alpha Chi Omega were crowned Greek Week King and Queen.
The overall winners and places for each individual category were announced Sunday. Greek Week champions are selected on a point system with a maximum total of 5,000 points. Blood, service, fling and special events are worth 1,000 points each, while Public Relations can earn 250 points and Games earns 750 points.
To earn the full 250 points for Public Relations, each grouping of sororities and fraternities must raise $500. Lesser amounts earn points based on the percentage of $500 raised.
The remaining categories are judged individually, with the top five teams receiving points.
