MSA allocates funds for KCOU and MUTV

Missouri Students Association passed a resolution supporting Division of Information Technology to allocate funds for the MUTV and KCOU studios in the new student center.

The resolution states KCOU has raised $64,242.88 of the estimated total $141,100 needed for their new space and MUTV raised $36,000 of $350,000. DoIT’s carryover for FY10 is over one million dollars.

It’s also stated MSA is willing to co-pay or match DoIT funds.

In addition, another bill was passed ensuring MSA will allocate to KCOU and MUTV equipment. The funds will be safeguarded, and only made available after the completion of phase two of the student center. The MSA advisor will oversee all purchases made with the allocated money and report to the budget committee.
