New student curator appointed

The UM system Board of Curators swore in Laura Confer, a junior at Missouri University of Science and Technology, as the new student curator at the board’s meeting Thursday.

Confer was appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon and will replace Tony Luetkemeyer as the board’s student representative, a non-voting position. Luetkemeyer had held the position since July 2007.
