MSA begins auditing DSA advisor

Missouri Students Association Senate Speaker Amanda Shelton met with Department of Student Activities Advisor Kathy Murray to gather preliminary information in order to audit Murray.

Murray is being audited for the possible misallocation of funds to a movie project titled, "Mil Mascaras: Aztec Revenge." Murray estimates the entire project costs more than $50,000, but many MU entities have agreed to help. MSA is only questioning up to $2,000 that came from its own funds.

Murray said the project was approved during the directorship of Rachel Parrish, but she noticed knowledge and interest was lost during the move to the new student center.

Shelton said she's still gathering information before writing a final report.
