JSO holds first cooking club meeting of semester
The Jewish Student Organization held the first meeting of “Bubbie’s Kitchen” last Thursday at Hillel. JSO members made Challah for the following day’s Shabbat services. JSO President Sherman Fabes said he wants to incorporate the club into JSO’s activities throughout the year.
“One of the things that’s really popular in the Jewish tradition is to do stuff over food,” Fabes said. “This year we want to do more stuff like that with food, bringing in the tradition but having fun at the same time. Little by little we want more and more people to come and we want to do it consistently.”
Bubbie’s Kitchen is open to all interested students and will be hosted at Hillel on Thursday evenings. More information will be available from JSO in the near future.
