Mizzou College Republicans elect new chairwoman
Sophomore Sophie Mashburn will be taking over for Brett Dinkins as chairman of the Mizzou College Republicans, effective next semester.
Dinkins said Mashburn will start transitioning into her new role at the end of this semester. Dinkins is planning to work in Jefferson City as a legislative assistant, Mashburn said to group members at their Nov. 9 meeting.
Mashburn said she wants to work on planning more social events for the group as well as increasing membership and involvement. Mashburn also told group members they would like to get more students to write for their conservative blog, run by sophomore Adam Smith.
Mashburn said the group now has an adviser, Mark Langworthy, director of Development at the School of Law.
