Travis-Horan issued third infraction over T-shirt sales
Student Court Chief Justice Lischen Reeves said the Travis-Horan slate has until 7 p.m. Nov. 15 to submit briefs in their defense against the three infractions that the Board of Elections Commissioners has issued to the slate.
The slate was issued a third infraction Wednesday evening by the BEC over alleged undocumented profits from possible T-shirt sales. Reeves said if there was a profit made on the T-shirts, it is not accounted for in the slate's previously submitted paperwork to the BEC.
"It is the BEC's perspective that the slate totally failed to document an account-the paypal," Reeves said. "And what they did document was wrong, which falls under the falsification of documents according to the BEC."
The election was scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Nov. 15, but will be postponed if Travis and Horan wait until the deadline to submit their briefs, Reeves said. The slate can turn in their briefs as early tomorrow, meaning the hearings could be tomorrow as well.
Reeves said oral arguments will be entertained regarding the mass e-mail violation infraction because Travis and Horan did not have time to submit their briefs regarding that infraction today.
