Laws pulls ahead in Mizzou Dashboard competition

Rounding out last week’s Blackout week for sustainability, the Mizzou Dashboard competition saved more than 15,000 kilowatt hours. MU has one week to go and is a little less than 4,000 kilowatt hours short of surpassing last year’s savings of six percent.

Laws hall is in first place among the residence halls and last year’s winner, Schurz hall, is currently ranked fourth. The following halls are ranked in order of savings:

Lathrop
Jones
Schurz
Galena
Hawthorn
College Avenue
Dogwood
Hatch

As the competition moves into its final week, MU is ranked fourteenth out of 35 schools in the national competition, Depauw University is in first with a 22.8 percent reduction in energy use.
