RHA paid members can no longer represent their halls
The Residence Halls Association passed legislation preventing their representatives from representing their hall and being a paid member of RHA at the same time.
According to Bill # 008-FS2010: Changes to Responsibilities of Representatives, the purpose of the bill is to keep paid members from representing residence halls on campus. Because paid members of RHA attend additional meetings that give them more insight into issues, it is hard for these members to represent the opinion of a residence hall in an unbiased manner.
Having passed, the bill allows paid RHA members who are also representing their residence hall a two week grace period to find a person to take their representative position.
