Queer People of Color executive board selected
Thursday evening the Queer People of Color selected its first executive board which will lead it to becoming an officially recognized student organization.
Group founder Brandon Hamilton was selected as President. Azia Egbe won the Vice President position and Jeff Perkins will serve as Secretary. Nour Salmeen is the Treasurer.
"I'm very pleased with the outcome of the elections for QPOC exec board," Hamilton said. "I'm excited and anxious to work closely with the rest of the exec board. I can't wait to get started on planning events and becoming an official ORG next semester. It's going to be great."
Hamilton and Egbe are meeting with officials soon to determine QPOC's final status as a student organization.
