Fraser announces resignation from UM system Board of Curators
In a special meeting Monday, UM system Board of Curators member Bo Fraser announced his resignation from the board.
“It is a very high honor to serve this state and to serve this university as a curator,” Fraser said. “With that high honor, comes a lot of responsibility, and that responsibility requires a lot of time and energy to do it right.”
He said he hasn’t been able to be as active on the board as of late because he has been spending an equal amount of time in Columbia and at his retirement home in Florida.
“Because of that, it is very difficult to serve this university in the way that it deserves,” Fraser said.
Fraser was appointed to the board in 2007, and his term wasn’t slated to expire until 2013. He will continue to serve until the end of the year.
