Mizzou Black Women’s Initiative begins publishing blog
The Mizzou Black Women’s Initiative recently began publishing a blog.
MBWI executive board member Gabrielle Lowe predicts the blog will possibly reduce the number of e-mails sent to members and answer questions people have about the organization. Additionally, the women said the blog will tell what they have done and what they plan to do.
“It’s a much more public way to tell people about who we are and what we do,” Lowe said.
The organization has a Facebook, Twitter and Blackboard account, but the blog allows a more thorough way for members to stay updated.
“On the blog, as opposed to our other media outlets, there is a more personal and informal account of what’s going on with MBWI,” Lowe said.
The blog will provide details about the organization’s meetings, events and fundraisers, as well as pictures and information such as Mentor of the Month. It can be found at mbwi.blogspot.com.
