Sustain Mizzou announces results of fall semester's events

Sustain Mizzou’s Tiger Tailgate Recycling finished out the Missouri football season having recycled more than 18.2 tons of materials, one ton more than the group had last year.

More than 50 volunteers put in 305 hours of distributing recycling bags and encouraging and educating football fans on the ease and benefit of recycling.

The Gulf Sounds concert hosted by Sustain Mizzou was held on Nov. 3 at the Blue Fugue. The concert raised $1,382 for three different organizations, the National Wildlife Federation, the Greater New Orleans Foundation and the Environmental Defense Fund, working on oil spill efforts in the gulf. The Tigers Credit Union sponsored the event and local bands played without compensation.
