RHA ends semester by giving awards
Dec. 6 marked the last Residence Halls Association Congressional meeting of the semester. Chris Rucker was sworn in as Vice President, leaving open the Treasurer position. Larry Buchanan was sworn in as National Communication Coordinator in training.
Speaker Michael Crawford introduced the RHA Environmental Ad Hoc committee.
“RHA has officially acquired the Dashboard competition, all of the equipment, grants and processes that come with it cost several thousand dollars a year, which is covered by grants,” said Taylor Dukes, RHA director of service and sustainability.
The committee will be in charge of competitions with other universities and will have the ability to create competitions at their liberty.
Representatives from each committee with perfect attendance were also awarded $5 gift cards to the University Bookstore. One $15 gift card was awarded to freshman Kelsey Dunn from Jones Hall. Dunn had perfect attendance for two different committees.
