A conference will be held March 2 at Memorial Union to discuss how to increase the number of Missourians with a college education.

The daylong conference, titled “Focus on Missouri: A Dialogue on Barriers, Strategies and the Future Access to College,” will include lectures from Greg Darnieder, special assistant on college access for the U.S. Department of Education and Nicole Hurd, executive director of the National College Advising Corps.

Registration is open for the free conference. Sessions on financial literacy, creating a college-going culture, assessing college access programs, state and national higher education policies, and an overview of research and statistics relating to degree attainment will be offered at the conference.
