IFC announces first SPOTLIGHT CHAPTER award winner
The Interfraternity Council gave the first IFC SPOTLIGHT CHAPTER award to the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
The IFC SPOTLIGHT CHAPTER award will be given out on a biweekly basis to IFC chapters that best represent the core values of IFC. Those values are brotherhood, leadership, scholarship and service.
For this award, a major emphasis is placed on service, IFC spokesman Danny Ritz said.
Ritz said Tau Kappa Epsilon had approximately 15 members visit The Bluffs nursing home, where they played bingo with the residents and served meals.
More than 20 members shoveled snow from the driveways of elderly residents in the west campus area, Ritz said.
Tau Kappa Epsilon’s president is Mark Hughes.
