MSA Operations Committee approves third chairman of the year
The Missouri Students Association Operations Committee confirmed Senator Justin Mohn as Senate Speaker Evan Wood's selection for his vacated chairman position.
Wood said a lot of qualified applicants applied for the position, which made his decision difficult. He said Mohn's ability to cite specific goals for his term are what led Wood to select him.
"He came to me with some concrete, goal-oriented objectives that he wants to look at, and that always stands out in a position like this," Wood said.
Mohn said his plans for the Operations Committee for the rest of the semester would include a complete overhaul of the bylaws in order to ensure they are congruent and correct. He would also like to look into reforming the election structure.
"What can be done to change the election structure to make it matter a little more to students?" Mohn asked the committee.
Mohn will be the third senator this academic year to serve as chairperson of the Operations Committee and will be voted on by the entire Senate at next Wednesday's session.
