J school adds new interest areas
Incoming freshmen in the School of Journalism will now have 25 new interest areas to choose from.
"We are really excited to be able to offer our students 25 degree options rather than six," said Brian Brooks, associate dean for undergraduate studies at the journalism school.
In addition to the 25 areas offered, students are also allowed the option of creating a course of study unique to their interests.
According to the news release, the increased number of options allows students to have greater resources available in their interest areas.
Current students in the J school will not be affected by the change.
