Texas turns down Pac-10, stays in Big 12
The Dallas Morning News reported Monday that Pac-10 Commissioner Larry Scott has confirmed the University of Texas has declined its invitation to join the conference. Shortly after the report, Texas released a statement pledging its intentions to stay in the Big 12.
The announcement comes after reports of Scott visiting the University of Oklahoma, Texas A&M University, Texas and Texas Tech University this weekend to speak with the various Big 12 schools.
