Mizzou Black Men’s Initiative to host end of summer barbecue Sunday
In celebration of the end of summer, the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center and the Mizzou Black Men’s Initiative are hosting the Last BBQ from 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
According to the event’s Facebook page, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken and drinks will be served, as well as MBMI member Cameron Grant’s special mix of Kool-Aid. NFL games will be broadcasted on big screen televisions.
“This will be the last opportunity to enjoy good food, company and music in a summertime setting,” MBMI member Phillip Simpkins said. “It also gives them a chance to relax and enjoy themselves before classes occupy our time.”
The event, held at the BCC, is free and anyone is welcome to attend.
