Alden selected as NCAA Leadership Council chairman
MU Athletics Director Mike Alden has been appointed as chairman of the NCAA Leadership Council.
Alden has previously served on the council and will begin his new position in the 2010-11 academic year. The council helps to identify future issues for the NCAA. It consists of representatives from 31 Division I conferences.
Alden has been with MU for 13 years, serving as athletics director since 1998. In that time, he has focused on facility improvements.
