According to an e-mail sent over the journalism student listserv, Phou Sengsavanh, assistant director of the School of Journalism's Career Services, resigned Dec. 14, effective Jan. 1.
“Phousavanh Sengsavanh, who ran our Career Services office, resigned unexpectedly on Dec. 14 and no longer works at the School of Journalism effective Jan. 1,” said Brian Brooks, associate dean for undergraduate studies at the journalism school, in an e-mail. "We are already searching for a replacement, and we hope to have someone in place no later than early February.”
In the meantime, Brooks said any information about job listings should be sent to his office and he will relay it to students.
Brooks had no comment on Sengsavanh's resignation, due to the fact that this is a “personnel matter.”
