Board of Curators announces conference realignment, presidential search plans
The UM System Board of Curators assigned Chancellor Brady Deaton the responsibility of negotiating conference realignment contracts in a meeting Friday at UM-Kansas City.
"The next step will be final resolution of the question," board chairman Warren Erdman said in a news conference following the board’s closed session.
Erdman also announced plans to narrow down the System's presidential candidate list in the next two weeks.
The presidential search has been an ongoing process since UM System President Gary Forsee retired Jan. 7. Steve Owens currently serves as interim president.
