Major roads on campus fully plowed; most walkways remain uncleared

Columbia and MU snowplows have kept major roads on campus plowed and, for the most part, drivable, as of Wednesday morning, but cleared walkways remained scarce.

Plowed roads on campus include, but are not limited to, Providence Road, College Avenue, Rollins Street, Conley Avenue, Tiger Avenue, Fourth, Fifth and Ninth Streets, Virginia Avenue, Turner Avenue, University Avenue, Elm Street and Stadium Boulevard.

Walkways on the north and south sides of the MU Student Center remain plowed, as do walkways near the Student Recreation Complex and a handful of other major facilities. But walkways surrounding most residence halls are uncleared and blocked by snow.

Campus Facilities' Landscape Services division is responsible for clearing all campus walkways and some roads. Neither Campus Facilities spokeswoman Karlan Seville nor anyone from the Office of Residential Life, which is responsible for clearing walkways around res halls, returned phone calls Wednesday morning, but Landscape Services' priority route for clearing snow can be found on its website here.
