Sustain Mizzou members travel to Fulton for a camp out
This weekend Sustain Mizzou members are traveling to Fulton to camp out at Maya Creek Homestead.
“Our friends at Maya Creek Homestead approached us early in the semester and asked if we would want to come out to help with some housekeeping and camp,” former Sustain Mizzou spokesperson Kelly Gehringer said. “We happily agreed.”
According to a Sustain Mizzou newsletter, the camp out is intended to be a fun bonding experience as well as provide an opportunity for Sustain Mizzou members to learn new skills.
“We’ll be helping out our friends at Maya Creek with the Eco Village they’re trying to build – trailblazing and helping out however else we can,” Gehringer said. “We’ll also be building fires and reminiscing a lot about this past year.”
