MU adopts iclicker2 program for fall semester

Tags:

MU has selected the iclicker2 as its tool of choice “to increase interactivity and enhance learning.”

The iclicker2, developed by University of Illinois professors, is a clicker system designed to “open up new possibilities for classroom interaction with full alphanumeric functionality and an LCD screen.” Starting in the fall, MU professors will use the iclicker2 as a way to get students more involved with learning while keeping the focus on classroom instruction.

Why the iclicker2?

“We wanted a robust system and liked iclicker2's alphanumeric functionality and the substantial feel of the iclicker2's physical remote," Educational Technologies Specialist Guy Wilson, Ph.D., said in a news release. "We selected iclicker2 for its simple, more intuitive software and the short learning curve.”

Wilson also said iclicker2 was chosen because it was easy to instruct teachers on how to use it.
