After informally announcing their candidacy earlier this week via email, Missouri Students Association Presidential candidate Xavier Billingsley and Vice Presidential candidate Helena Kooi will formally announce their candidacy in a campaign meeting at 9 p.m. Sunday in Jesse Wrench Auditorium in Memorial Union.
The meeting is open to all MU students.
“We are pleased to announce to you our plans to run for MSA President and Vice President,” Billingsley said in an email to 103 students. “As leaders on campus and in your respective organizations, no one understands the needs of our student body better than you do. We would appreciate your help in developing a platform that is unique and built on qualities that will truly better our university.”
Billingsley said he intends to present his platform Sunday as well as his list of goals for the presidency.
“Helena and I could not be more excited to begin our campaign, and we hope you will join us in our effort,” Billingsley said in the email.
