MU sophomore Emily Ferguson, 19, was westbound in the eastbound lane on I-70 near Kingdom City when she collided with another motorist, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Ferguson, of St. Louis, was driving a 2004 Nissan Xterra and was not wearing a seatbelt. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The other driver, Charles Mills, 39, of St. Peters, was driving a 2009 Hino Truck and was wearing a seatbelt. Mills is in serious condition at University Hospital.
