Flu vaccines made cheaper in preparation for holiday tavel

Tags:

The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services has reduced the cost of flu vaccinations to $15.00 in anticipation of higher germ sharing over the holidays. According to their press release, it takes about two weeks for the vaccine to fully protect the body after vaccination, so getting it well before Winter Break is important.

Flu vaccine is available on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm at the health department clinic, located at 1005 West Worley.

It is important to get flu vaccine every year not only to protect yourself but those around you as well. This is a good link to use to find flu clinics within your area. http://www.fluvaccineclinics.com
